Photography

Since my sophomore year of high school I’ve had my face stuck behind a camera. Photography has been a serious hobby of mine for quite some time. I currently focus on concert and nightlife photography. I have had the privilege of shooting the likes of Sonic Youth, The B-52’s, Gossip, Los Campesinos, and several other of my favorite bands.

Radio/Podcasts

I’ve been broadcasting independent music on non-commercial FCC licensed stations since 2006. First for Kutztown University Radio 88.3FM in Kutztown, PA and then Northeastern University’s 104.9 WRBB FM in Boston, MA. During my Junior and Senior year of Northeastern I was elected Music Director on the station’s executive board. You can stream my music mixes and podcasts on Mixcloud. I’m also on Soundcloud. In 2016 I was a guest panelist on iZotope’s New Audio Podcast weighing in on the history of vocal effects.

Music

Music has always been a huge part of my life and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Guitar is my primary instrument, but I dabble in keys and drums from time to time. I’ve been playing music since I was 5 years old. I started the Boston-based rock band Sleep Crimes in 2012 with 3 friends from Northeastern after being fed up with too much wimpy sounding rock n’ roll. We’ve been played on Boston radio stations 100.7 WZLX and 88.1 WMBR. We’ve played Boston’s Together festival and Allston DIY Fest. The band has also been featured in Vanyaland and The Noise.  In 2015 we were invited to record some of our songs for Converse Rubber Tracks.  While Sleep Crimes is no longer an active project, I’ve more recently taken up drumming and I’m currently playing in the Boston psych rock band Leafcutter.

I also volunteer as a guitar instructor for Girls Rock Campaign Boston – a non-profit music education summer camp for girls.
