A New Chapter for StudentAdvisor and Other Content Adventures

My, my has Summer 2011 been going by fast. Since I last updated a lot has happened to me on the “work” side of things: went to my first event as StudentAdvisor’s Content Manager (Boston eduTweetUp), doubled traffic to the SA Blog, collaborated with a bunch of amazing students and higher ed professionals (you know who you are), helped produce the 2nd annual Dorm Living guide, and even got to co-host one of the biggest marketing podcasts on iTunes!

Earlier this month the StudentAdvisor team moved from Avenue 100’s Woburn office to the American Twine building in Cambridge. While it’s difficult leaving behind a lot of incredibly brilliant and all-round awesome people, the move to Cambridge will help us build a better site by facilitatating our R&D with easier access to the biggest college city in America.

The site itself is undergoing a series of major feature releases and enhancements in the next few weeks. Let’s just say when a website is transforming from a publishing entity into a destination site there’s a lot of work to be done and many hats that need to be worn by everyone. Luckily, I get to work with a group of people that learns something new from each other every day and knows how to have fun – that’s the kind of thing that keeps me motivated. In short – I’ve been busier than ever, but it’s a very exciting time.

So what have I been up to since I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to update my own blog? Blogging for other blogs of course…

Some recent posts I’ve written:

And for something completely different:

Not a post I’ve written, but earlier this summer I recieved some very cool Internet recognition for my answers on Quora, a Q&A site of which I am a full-blown addict, from Marc Bodnick.
